It's a long way from raw materials over mixture to the finished (Kerb)stone. This "British Standard" is still a condition in countries of the Middle East and the UK. Learn about our Kerbstone production plants.

EHL AG welcome Masa apprentices

6 Nov 2015 - Masa – Investing in young people to produce highly qualified staff.

In 2015 Masa provided nine further apprenticeship positions at Masa headquarter in Andernach. Opportunities to join Masa are offered in all production, engineering and design, IT and business management departments.

Over a dedicated period of time, the newcomers can experience working with the complete Masa product range directly at our customers own sites. All apprentices are then able to identify with the whole of the Masa product range, irrespective of their particular key area of training, giving essential basic knowledge about the operating mode of the highly specialized Masa machines and automated concrete block making plants.

Early in September of 2015, twenty-one apprentices and one trainee attended a factory tour of EHL AG, a long-standing customer of Masa, at their concrete block manufacturing plant in Kretz.

The tour was overseen and coached by Wolfgang Schwarz (Head of the Masa Spare Parts Department) and Bernd Waldecker (an electrical expert from Masa). Following the welcome and the health and safety briefings, the participants inspected all aspects of the production process, such as the storage, dosing and mixing basic concrete ingredients like sand, cement and water, the concrete block making machine, as well as the different elements of product handling (e.g. curing, cubing and transport of the concrete blocks). The assembled party of youngsters raised many questions, which were professionally answered by Mr. Schwarz and Mr. Waldecker with regards to all aspects of production.
