New trainees welcomed at Masa

Andernach 7 Aug 2020 - Since August 3, 2020, all doors and career opportunities have been opened to seven young talents: Highly motivated, they start their training at Masa GmbH. With the provision of apprenticeships, the mechanical engineering company is sending a clear signal towards the future - despite Covid-19.

For Niclas Hof, Robert Janken, Kai Niesner, Denis Stobbe, Etienne Strefler, Philipp Waldecker and Louis Zydek now begins a new phase of life as they join the 2020 apprenticeship class at Masa GmbH.

Together, with their responsible trainers Marwin Kuhnig (IT), Andreas Schick (Hydraulic Constrution), Hans-Werner Hoffmann (Electrical Factory) and Nicole Mosmann (Commercial Area) the Masa Managing Directors, Frank Reschke and Volker Zurheide, welcomed the young colleagues at their first working day. „Masa GmbH needs committed and competent young talent - which is why we are very happy to welcome you here“, said Frank Reschke. Volker Zurheide pointed out how important excellent skilled workers are for the company. Succession planning for these critical roles is always a priority.

Also Franz-Josef Müller, Head of Human Resources, wished the new colleagues a particularly good start at the Andernach site. He also emphasized that after successfully completing training here there are typically very good chances of being taken on.

“We train in order to secure our own skilled workers. It is always our aim to take on trainees after graduation and to offer them an interesting job and development opportunities in the company in the long term. A large number of former trainees were taken on and are still active in the company today,” says Nicole Mosmann, HR officer and trainer for the commercial area.

In a subsequent introductory session, the future specialists introduced themselves. Then they visited the various areas at Masa Andernach during a factory inspection. The joint lunch offered - in compliance with the hygiene and distance rules - a good opportunity to talk to each other.

After a detailed safety briefing, the trainees finally started their work at Masa GmbH at their respective workplaces.

With the current year, two industrial mechanics, two electronics technicians for industrial engineering, one industrial clerk, one dual student – for electrical engineering and one IT specialist for system integration are newly trained. The trainees complete the school part of their training at the August-Horch-School in Andernach and the Carl-Benz-School in Koblenz.
