Engineer, Director Sales, Masianer

A new chapter in Jörg Hülsiggensen's life is about to begin.

Porta Westfalica 8 Jul 2025 - ‘It wasn't a single project that shaped me. It was the many inspiring encounters with customers worldwide.’ With these words, Jörg Hülsiggensen looks back on his career as an engineer, Director Sales and authorised signatory in Porta Westfalica. He will soon be retiring.

Jörg Hülsiggensen began his professional career at Henke Maschinenfabrik in 1994, laying the foundation for his successful entry into the building materials industry.

Five years later, Masa took over Henke Maschinenfabrik in Porta Westfalica – a landmark step for the company and its workforce. Jörg Hülsiggensen accompanied Masa on its growth course and, as a graduate engineer, initially focused on the sale of concrete block machines and aerated concrete and sand-lime brick plants in southern Germany and Europe, and later also worldwide. Together with Rolf Ovesiek, he managed the Masa site in Porta Westfalica for many years as authorised signatory and Director Sales. For the last four years, he has focused entirely on international sales.

Challenges and enriching experiences

The medium-sized structure of Masa opened up a wide range of exciting tasks for Jörg Hülsiggensen and offered him considerable scope for creativity. He tackled challenges such as developing new markets, expanding the product portfolio and integrating new companies with great enthusiasm.

During his time at the company, he found the contact with different cultures, the joint projects and the many successful commissioning projects particularly enriching. He explains his long-standing commitment to Masa simply: ‘I have always felt at home here – and yes, I was proud to be a “Masianer”.’

A new chapter full of possibilities

Jörg Hülsiggensen's time as a “Masianer” will come to an end in August 2025 when he retires. He already has plans for the future, which include more sport, hiking, mental training and learning additional foreign languages.

With deep appreciation for over three decades of dedicated and valuable service, the entire Masa team extends its heartfelt thanks to Jörg Hülsiggensen and wishes him all the best for this new and hopefully equally inspiring chapter of life.

Change in management

Matthias Klare, also a highly experienced specialist in AAC and sand-lime brick plants, has succeeded Jörg Hülsiggensen as Director Sales Projects at the Porta Westfalica site.
