Latest sawing plant for sand-lime bricks starts operation.
Porta Westfalica, Germany 10 Dec 2019 - Since autumn 2019, one of our customers benefits from Masa's sophisticated production technology and is producing accurate fitting supplementary elements on a state-of-the-art sand-lime brick sawing plant. The fitting elements, fully automatic cut on the new sawing line, are required for the sand-lime masonry.
To build with sand-lime bricks in the most efficient and economical way, the use of large-size products, like flat elements, gets more popular. This customer uses two hydraulic Masa element presses type HDP 1200 Jumbo to create these bricks with a surface of 998 mm by 623 mm and a wall thickness of 100 mm to 365 mm. In addition to the standard format elements, usually 20 to 30 % supplementary elements are required for the integration of windows, doors, or gables for masonry construction in each project. These individual shaped sand-lime bricks are cut fully automatically on our sawing machine.
The new Masa sawing system is designed both element presses due to its optimally aligned capacities. The saving of resources and the reduction of waste always have a high priority. For this reason, the project planning and the conception of the fully automatic control system for the entire sawing plant was fully focused on a design, which meets the local requirements.
The main priority of the sawing plant is the maximum utilization of each sand-lime brick. After the sawing process, it requires an intelligent interaction between the Masa control and the intermediate storage in front of the packaging process, to ensure the assignment of the sawed products to the right transport pallet at the right time.
