Rolf Ovesiek has retired

Porta Westfalica 1 Jan 2019 - At the turn of the year, Masa GmbH retired its long-standing Managing director Rolf Ovesiek.

Mr. Ovesiek's professional biography is closely linked to Masa. After school, Rolf Ovesiek began his technical training at Henke Maschinenfabrik GmbH (later Masa) in Porta Westfalica. Afterwards he deepened his high affinity for technology and studied mechanical engineering at Lemgo University of Applied Sciences, where he graduated with a degree in engineering in 1986.

After his studies, Mr. Ovesiek returned to Henke Maschinenfabrik and was later entrusted with various management positions. As Technical Manager, Mr. Ovesiek was significantly involved in many innovations in special plant concepts.

In 2000 he took over the management position at the head of Masa-Henke Maschinenfabrik and was responsible for the locations Porta Westfalica, Dorsten and the Masa branch in Moscow. Since 2008, Mr. Ovesiek has also been a member of the Masa AG Executive Board, responsible for sales, product development and production in the aerated concrete, sand-lime brick and concrete slabs divisions.

After the change of legal form from Masa AG to Masa GmbH, Mr. Ovesiek was appointed Managing Director in 2010 and has played a decisive role in defining Masa's course ever since.

The Managing directors of Masa GmbH, Mr. Frank Reschke and Mr. Volker Zurheide as well as the entire Masa crew thanked Mr. Ovesiek for his services to the company and wished him all the best for his well-deserved retirement.
